What is interesting is that if you take out the active cases - i.e., cases in which the outcome has not been determined - the death rate sits at about 9.7% of reported cases. If the death rate is actually down where it is projected to be, that implies that the actual number of infections is somewhere around 3x-10x the number of reported cases.

OBVIOUSLY the numbers are good but don't say like it's not because of the measures. We don't do it and we are talking crazy numbers.

Lot's of people will be able to go back to work even during the phase 1. When the restaurants and bars open back up, lots of people will be very happy, including myself.

This lockdown plan is counter to the one definitive way to protect ourselves, especially considering that we don’t even know if a vaccine will work.
The minute we realized that the hospitals were not going to be overrun, we should have started re-opening.
Now we are just doing our best to have whatever peak that occurs coincide with respiratory/flu season.
That is going to be a whole lot of fun.
Really looking forward to it.

Restaurants are already a tough business model to keep going. This is going to kill a lot of them entirely. They need to shift to a delivery/pickup model ASAP to have any kind of chance
Then you make the sit down model, now at 50% some kind of VIP where people pay a sitting fee for the privilege, it could work

I know of a few who are doing very will with this approach, but most restaurants need to sell alcohol to make a profit.
