He was probably the tipster, probably has some type of medical issue and the only way to get care is to go into a free nursery home, known as Louisiana State Prison System.

His family had money. More likely that he pissed off someone down there who turned him in for revenge.

Guarantee it was a woman he confided in then pissed off.

Yeah it’s so believable to think that Paco immediately got on the telefono to the US and ratted out some random average looking gringo baw.

Huatulco itself is meh but that stretch of the Oaxacan coast is such a badass place to be. Whole thing is dotted with tiny little Mexican beach villages, all perfectly safe. All the fish, crabs, and shrimp you can eat that was caught by mexican baws (and probably Greg ) that morning.

Been looking at getting a place down there. Just a little cabana is all I’d need.

A Louisiana fugitive who spent half his life on the run was captured in Mexico Tuesday — and laughed as he was cuffed more than three decades after he was convicted for trying to murder a lifelong friend. We aren't sending them our best people.

Pretty easy. Got sloppy, trusted wrong person thinking he was safe after 30 years and no one would care.

Wrong person needed money and wanted reward.

Not that I’m not glad they caught a fugitive.

But it’s so much easier to be a criminal and get into this country than it is being one trying to escape.

Fun fact: if you try to murder a lifelong friend, that friendship was not lifelong.

He should have came back across the boarder as an asylum seeker.

Then he would get free housing, food, and no one would touch him.

My guess is whenever he gets drunk he runs his mouth a little too much and somebody tipped the FBI off (which is a huge dick move.)

Y’all catch the end?

If he really is innocent then how is he a coward for not sticking around in a Louisiana prison for decades?

That FBI guy is a fricking retard. No, sir, YOU are the coward for working for the FBI. A true enemy of the American people. When “the EBT machine goes down” I highly doubt the American people will too kindly on him!

Thanks for this back story. Super crazy.

Is fleeing to Mexico still a viable option if I ever get in to trouble here?

Asking for a friend…

Sounds like a great movie plot. Maybe even a comedy. Would be great for John Candy if he were still alive.
