How is that different from EVERY OTHER thread on here??
So make fun of other posters and anything else ok.....dare to make fun of LA not ok....but feel free to stereotype and bash every other state??
the making fun of stereotypes and states, hometowns don't bother me at all. At time the personal stuff goes too far,, not the crap attacking the OT persona,, that's fair game. But when SOME posters use IRL names whether the rumors(s) are true or not.
that being said,, LA is a shithole with crappy education, pathetic infrastructure and the entire state is full of inbreeding 'tards

Well I would assume it has a lot to do with the fact that many people only know a lot of states by their stereotypes, but they intimately know all of the flaws in Louisiana stereotypes.
I get a lot of comments about how everyone in Boston is a bunch of assholes, because that's the stereotype. And sure, there are definitely people who fit that mold, but for the most part people here are really friendly.
But if I say everyone in Lafayette is a bunch of Affliction-wearing, LSU-hating-because-they-have-a-ULL-inferiority-complex douches, people lose their minds. Not to say those people aren't there, but that's not what the entire city is comprised of.

Every other thread on here is not about bashing/hating on something. Yes, a lot of them are. You can't deny that there are the same people who show up in those threads to hate on whatever the topic du jour happens to be. The hate LA posters. The hate Catholic posters. The hate smoking posters. The hate tattoos posters. The hate cruises posters. The hate Paige posters. Whatever.
Who bashes every other state on a consistent basis?

acting like it's the be all end all of places to live is crazy.
In my opinion, as long as one lives in an area with at least decent public schools or can afford private schooling, has family here they don't hate, and don't get their panties in a bind over what other people wear or how they spend their time, Louisiana kinda is the end all of places to live.
For people who like city life, there's New Orleans, filled with all of the food, bars, music, parties, and culture one could desire. For those who like suburbs or smaller cities, there's Lafayette and Covington, both wonderful places filled with great people and gorgeous old neighborhoods. If you're a small town/rural kind of guy, there are plenty of quaint small towns that offer wide open spaces, great food, festivals, a sense of community, ect. While there are a lot of things South Louisiana doesn't have (great beaches, mountains, seasons, dry land, navigable roads, a firm grasp of the English Language, a criminal justice system, passenger rail between cities, teeth, ect), what it does have is pretty outstanding.

Forgetting the fact that I don't know what "founded" means, I will say that there is a lot of bashing of Northern states and cities quite a bit (NYC in particular). I find myself defending NYC from my fellow Louisianans than vice versa.

Maybe just maybe it's nice to know you are not the only one that just didn't care for living in LA???
Or do yall get upset cause you know some of our reasons to leave/never want to return are legit ones?

You're certainly entitled to your opinion. I just disagree on a number of factts that I'll be happy to get into after this meeting.

I have to admit. There was a thread a while ago where you exhibited some whacko feminist beliefs, and I've never thought of you in the same way since.
I even roll my eyes at your food board posts now.

Nurse, you're a special case that posts on a board that's 90-95% Louisiana residents and you never miss an opportunity to trash the state and BR. Context should be a big clue to you in that situation.
Be mindful of your surroundings.

And I respect that. Louisiana really isn't for everyone. But it is perfect for a certain kind of person that this state seems to be adept at producing.
