There are some churches that have a clause in the the membership contract that says you agree to give them a percentage of your income.

And that would be one method of figuring out which churches to avoid.

Marie and Matthews agreed that she would give him $1.5 million dollars over the course of two installments. Marie gave the first installment of $700,000 almost right away.

quote:

But as she was preparing to give the second installment, she was hit by a shock. Pastor Matthews wanted more money. But he did not tell her that he wanted more money outright, he sued Marie – for an astounding $10 million.

quote:

Matthews decided to sue her in order to get a court order for her to pay him $9.3 million more. Despite there being no written contract that she would give him 10 percent of her winnings as a tithe, Matthews claimed that he had made financial commitments in anticipation of the money which he could no longer keep.

Pastor is a piece of shite

Some people can't handle money. And one of the last things I would give money to is a church, I would rather set up my own non-profit and make sure the money goes towards helping people in need.

And $21M on bail money? That person would stay in jail.

frick him. I'd give it to a good charity just to piss him off. I can imagine what this "pastor" looks like - don't even need the pic. "They" are all the same.

She'll be flat arse broke in 5 years.

So, she spends 21 million dollars on bail money for her boyfriend but just can’t seem to come up with another 800 thousand dollars she promised to her church?

She really also wanted to have a backyard for her kids to play in. However, she got a psychic to come check out the house – which was a former plantation home – and the psychic said that there were bad spirits from the slaves who used to live and work there.

quote:

She had two options for claiming the prize – either receiving $188 million in installments over the course of 30 years (about $530,000 a year) or getting the entirety of the $127 million winnings all at once (with taxes taken out of course). Marie decided on the large lump sum,

quote:

Hot Sauce was arrested soon after the birth of Ebony on drug trafficking charges, got out on parole, and was then arrested again for violating his parole conditions. He was then arrested a third time for street racing. It took Marie $21 million to bail out her Hot Sauce boyfriend, and then bought him a $15,000 Rolex and a new car.

127MM = 63.5MM after tax

63.5MM - 21MM = 42.5MM

This bitch will be broke very, very soon.

I suspect he had a lengthy record before she struck it rich. He was probably in jail when she won. She only has one baby by him. The wheels of justice grind slow.

fricking greedy arse pastors. It’s up to her if she wants to blow every penny on her boyfriend. So because she said she’d give him money she owes it to him? Nope.

If I'm not mistaken Mormons have to turn over their W2's to the church and the church tells them what they have to pay.
