I am sorry for your loss. It is tough to lose a parent. It's a loss that, while lessens with time, never goes away completely.

I lost my Dad in August 2003 and my Mom this past January 12. I still miss them both.

I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I will pray that you all are given strength and comfort to get through this time. And I will say one for the repose of your Dad's soul.

God Bless.

Sorry for your loss, Sir. Been there, done that. Never gets better on the anniversary, but Gods grace will make it a bit better each day. Take care of your mental health, this can take a toll, brother. you just joined a shitty club to be in.

My dad was also a vet and I held it together pretty good until the funeral. When the soldiers play taps, fold the flag, then present it to you on behalf of the president of the United States you will lose it. At least I did.

Sorry for your loss. It’s a tough blow losing your dad. You grow up looking up to your dad and thinking that he’s invincible and then watching him grow old and sick is gut wrenching. Be there for your family, especially your mom. It does get better but it takes time.

This.
The first year without is rough because every holiday or birthday or any kind of family gathering will be the first time without him. It took me until the anniversary of his passing until I stopped tearing up at some point each day.

I lost mine suddenly 26 years ago and I still miss him terribly, even though our relationship was not the best. He missed so many important milestones in my life (marriage, children, career). There's not a day goes by I don't think about him.

I'm truly sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear this. Lost mine several years ago but in his case he wasn't there mentally for about 5 years before his passing. While a blessing it still sucked

So very sorry for you and your family. I went through the same thing as a young man 39 years ago. I miss him every day but I know I’ll see him again as will you. Prayers be with you at this difficult time.
