My Dad was the first close relative I lost. It was heart wrenching. It took me a long while to adjust to living without him. I hope you find peace in the love you shared with him.

My sympathies to you and your family. I lost my dad 16 years ago and, while the pain of the loss does lessen over time, it never completely goes away.
My dad knew a lot about a lot of things and I miss his advice and guidance even as I grow older in my adulthood.
Over the long term, keep the memories of your father alive through your children. For the short term, just hang in there.

Sorry for your loss.
I was never very close to my father, for he was an introvert and never really tried to be involved with my life, nor provided any "life lessons" yet I was still upset that he passed away.
On the other hand, my wife absolutely adores her father, to the point she worships the ground he walks on and I know she'll go off the deep end when he passes away

Sorry man that sucks. I am gonna call mine today. Thanks for the reminder. Keep your head up you will be reunited with him one day. In the meantime be the man he wants you to be. Do that every single day and you will be alright.

When my kids were younger I would tell them stories about my dad and our experiences . As they are now older they still want me to tell them the same stories.
Really helps me keep the memories alive.
Sorry for your loss and my he rest in peace.

Sorry for your loss, he sounds like a great dad and a Patriot. We need more like him these days.

My uncle passed away yesterday as well. Only one more left out of my mother's bothers and sisters. Condolences to you and your family.
