Catholic BR was originally St Vincent’s Academy.

There was an all girls catholic St Vincent in S'port that became Loyola High School.

I’m glad I got to experience a game at the rock before redemptorist went away. “Sent” Lael Collins and Jeremy Hill packing as well (I was on the sidelines the whole time but I was on the team )

Gables Academy in Baton Rouge. When you got kicked out of a private school you went to. Christian Life. If you were kicked out of. Christian Life you went to Gables.

Hosana in Baton Rouge got rid of their High School. But they have up to 8th grade still.

Runnells closed and its high school was open from 83-2020. Their grade school that closed was open since the 60s.

That’s where I went to Jr High School but it was V.C. Haynes Jr. High, formerly Metairie High School.

Used to start school in July so they could finish before the worst of the Mississippi backwater flooding.

I was going to say Ebarb but I looked it up and it's still around. Those Apaches from way back in the Sabine Parish woods could play some basketball.

I wish schools in SELA adopted a summer vacation period in August-September. Less chance of a hurricane impacting schools.

Might delay football season and that could be a hard pass for some.

It’d cause a fortune keeping up with cooling at full capacity if they did that

I loved the COVID football season that started in October, playoffs after Thanksgiving and ended the last week of the year… it felt so good outside

Because that isn’t an issue in August and September? The last place kids want to be on a beautiful late summer day is inside a school building
