I wouldn’t shed a tear for the majority of human population if they didn’t wake up tomorrow but this mean arse cat I’ve had for 15 years had to be put down today and seeing him unable to get around and coming to terms with what had to be done has me bawling like a baby.

Kinda totally agree/sympathize.

F for respect, buddy. The shitty nature of the universe and its finality sucks. We are supposed to find something beautiful in death, but I don't know. Death kinda sucks. Good luck :(

Cats live a long arse time, they are like losing a sibling. My aunts cat was 22 when it passed.

Condolences, man

I would argue losing a human is worse.

If I’m fortunate enough to make it to heaven I’m going to be upset if my dogs aren’t there to greet me!

Like losing family. A loyal family member who doesn't cheat, steal or talk back.

Yeah we will likely have to put our oldest dog down in the next few weeks.btook her in for some dental cleaning and they discovered a mass on the back of her tongue. Vet said he has seen this before and it's done type of cancer and gave her about 2-3 weeks. Said nothing can be done since it's at the base of her tongue and she's old so we don't want to do radiation.
Said when she starts dropping food because she is having too much trouble swallowing it's time.
Right now she is still eating well but I dread the next couple of weeks

Sorry to hear it, man. We had to put down our 13 year old British Blue this past September. It sucked. We picked up our Scottish Fold kitten this past Saturday and he's awesome. He's currently sleeping in the top basket of his cat tower.

My girls adopted a very young stray cat about 6 mos ago. He’s really grown into a great pet and catches rats, mice etc. I’ve become attached to him so I understand.

Thanks for being a well-adjusted adult male. There aren’t enough of you in the world.

I'm very sorry for your loss, brother. It sucks arse that they can't live alongside us for our whole lives. I wish I could offer some words that truly comfort, but I know that there is nothing that can be said to ease that feeling.
