I am so sorry you lost both parents. But..
I see my folks who are in their 70s every other week and from the first game of college football season to the very last day, I am at their house every Saturday watching the Dawgs with my old man. He just had major surgery and just got home this week which makes it even more important for me. Hoping to be able to watch many more football seasons with him

We post on this silly little website; talk shite; gather good and bad information; stalk others; frick with things we probably shouldn’t; Et Alia.
Low and behold, death will not escape us.
Live your lives.
Wild out when necessary. Curse when you want to. Grieve when you want to.
Just be you.

I lost my dad 2 years ago to cancer. Started in his liver then he started growing tumors all over his body. At the end he couldn't even speak. Love you dad, I'll see you again.

My prayers to you buddy.
Thanks...the last 22 months found her in the hospital 12 different times both at OLOL in B.R. and Oschner's in N.O....she's paid her dues to the man upstairs!

Lost my father at 3, but grew up with a stepdad. Lost my mom 3 years ago right after the flood. My stepdad has dementia and it is progressing rather rapidly. Cherishing my conversations with him.

I saw when you reached out to Nurse a month or so back and thought that was real sweet of you, especially because of all the grief she gets on here.
HC is an amazing, caring woman. She knows and understands some of the issues I'm facing because she has gone through them herself. She understands having to deal with that on top of all the other shite life wants to throw at you. Even when she was dealing with her own grief, she still would reach out to me off the board to check in and see how I was doing. I'll forever have her back on here.

They got some good folk that frequent this place
Good people
Touch of mental illness by many, Ranging on a scale from mild social anxiety to full blown OweO
Litmus test verifying someone is off is if they remember posting that last time LSU beat Bama and they still here. That's a lot of mind warping
But all in all some solid folks

I lost my father in January this year to cancer.
I remember when he called me a few days after Christmas to tell me he was going on hospice and then telling me to be there for my family and to not worry about my mom. That he’d look out for her. I think about that conversation from time to time and how hard that must’ve been for him to do that.

Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Thanks. I'm ok. I talk about it here as a way to vent. I have a great husband, child, in-laws. Life isn't terrible, just different. Hard a lot, but the good days out number the bad.

Oh that was just great. The perfect way to get introduced in to the OT IRL. Still funny to this day like 8 or so years later.

How short does a short midget have to be to punch a short midget in the nuts?
