Nurse and HC are both very outstanding women. We all frick around on this website, but the people here are generally very kind, loving people.
Better be careful with all those compliments, Owlie is going to stalk you.

I'm 33 and have no immediate family left. It's been really hard.
I am a bit older than you at 50 but I will be in the same boat in the not too distant future. Had a brother who died in a wreck at 2 years old. My twin died at 5 days old and my Mom died of breast cancer when I was 6. My Dad raised me and my older brother who I am not close to by himself. Had to put my Dad in a nursing home 2 months ago. He has sense been in the hospital twice sense then. Not sure how much time he as left but I know when he is gone a part of me will die. I know how you feel "Houston Chick. I don't know you but I have been reading your postings for years and I know you are good people.

Yes it is, just lost my rock 6 weeks ago.
Good luck and hope you come to terms with it.

I'm very sorry to hear that. I have lost all my grandparents but am lucky enough to still have both parents. My dad has had a few major surgeries due to back issues and they took a toll on him but he seems to be doing better recently

Lost my Dad 8 days after I turned 9 in 71. I still miss him to this day. I can't say it gets easier but it gets better. Sorrow and mourning turns into memories and nostalgia, it just takes time. I do still get really sad that my kids never got to meet him (my youngest is named after him).
I lost my twin sisters in one in October 2016 and and the second in January 2018. I miss them but it is much better now than even a year ago.
Just push through baw, don't be afraid to cry and find someone to share it with, my wife is invaluable when those times hit me.

I lost my dad very suddenly at 62 years old and I was 27. It'll be 2 years to the day tomorrow. Not a day goes by where my heart doesn't sink into my stomach realizing he's not here any more to give me guidance.
Tell your parents you love them. Cherish the time you've got with them. They make you who you are. There's nothing like losing them.

My parents died less than 1.5 years apart. I was 29 years old. Still think about them every day.

Condolences, my man, don't know how I would handle that.

That's where the tire hits the road, my sentiments exactly.

If you baws still have your parents, love em and call em all you can.
Mine are still around and we talk every day. I love them as much as a son can love his parents. They raised me as best as they could and let me make my own decisions. I can't imagine not having them around. They are the best.

Thanks, I will make it. It is just seeing someone going down and there is nothing you can do to help them. That is the toughest thing for me. It is nearly impossible to accept.

This is why assisted suicide needs to be legal. My mother was given at the end days, was to the point where morphine wasn't helping until she went into a pretty much coma. I contemplated what I could do to expedite it, not going to lie.
