We are burning a Baton Rouge flag tonight, so techincally our party is a protest. We are serving corn dip to signal our solidarity with our Spanish speaking undocumented guests.

That sucks. It’s their job right now.

I’m pretty sure they didn’t go into medicine or nursing to have an easy laid back job. Why are they complaining so much about being tired? You work in a freaking hospital.

Exactly - it’s fatiguing to hear them complain bc they actually have to do their job.

A lot of them aren’t in the nursing field for the right reasons. A good bit are in it to help people. They aren’t the ones complaining. The ones complaining are the ones that got in it for the money and really couldn’t care less about the people.

How are they deciding what facilities get it first? CVS is scheduled to come on the 17th here.

I have no idea ... that facility is in New Iberia. A friend of mine is scheduled to get her vaccine at another facility in Eunice on the 13th.

So Group 1B begins on Monday. People 70 and older, which according to the Twitter is 485,000 people plus ambulatory workers and other healthcare folks.

And 8,800 doses will go out next week.

If we keep up that blistering pace, we’ll be done vaccinating 1B in about 60 weeks.

Yep. I hate to be a jerk but I have a friend who is an X-ray technician - the main complaint is having to X-ray Covid patients

But aids, hepatitis, flu, any other type of contagious disease, and gun shot wound victims are ok

Sorry, friend, but I was assured by JBE as well as certain posters on this board that things will be back to normal and we'll have full football stadiums this fall.
