How many wackos are available to kill a mom and kidnap her children? Probably slim Pickens.

Why would a trafficking ring want that kind of heat?

Also, want his accomplices charged with something associated with human trafficking?

I don't believe so but you can correct me.

Why do you keep bringing up trafficking????? You are sounding real creepy. It’s like you want that to be part of it.

You have that backwards, PJ.

For some real reason people keep wishcasting trafficking into this situation that is horrible enough on its own.

Then when they are given logic and possible evidence to support why trafficking isn't likely, they get upset. THAT is the creepy part. Fetishizing trafficking like that is gross.

I’m sure the many trafficking rings out there vary in sophistication. [

I stand corrected. It wasn’t human trafficking it was “sexual battery”.

Ok. Well stop bringing it up… I know you are a lawyer, so why don’t you wait until more evidence is in before you start speculating. There is way more to this, but I’m more focused on how horrible this is just at its face.. the dude killed a four year old for NO reason. I can’t even imagine what this family has s going through.

At the risk of catching a lot of flack I have agreed with you from the start.

This dude shouldn't strike anyone as a big planner. He killed a woman, abducted her kids, and fled with them in a stolen car that belonged to the mother. He had no plan to ditch the car, which 100% would have been hot and on everyone's radar. He had no plan, and apparently no support, when he finally stopped and was spotted pulling doorknobs/handles. The way it all played out never really screamed "conspiracy".

It is odd that a lot of the blowback comes from the same people who laugh at "Karens" in Walmart who post on Facebook that a random Mexican dude was following her and plotting to snatch her kids. They scoff at those stories and usually sniff them out for what they are, but refused to have any skepticism in this case.

I believe the sheriff may have been a bit irresponsible initially when he mentioned the trafficking possiblity. He had to have known the public was going to run wild with that. It was in the heat of the moment, in the immediate aftermath of the arrest and discovery that he killed the child, so......I can give him a pass for that.

Legend,
I'd agree with you. But how does the girlfriend/address close to murder scene/ arrested in Jackson MS as an accomplice with two very serious charges....how does she fit in?
And I didn't label her as a skank, took an effort on my part.

The mother died of multiple blunt force impacts according to a prelim.

Almost no news coverage so far on Monday. The above link says

Chief Joseph Wade is expected to speak at 2:15 p.m. He described the scene as “horrible” and “tragic.”

Bludgeoned the mother and suffocated the child. We still don't know what physical injuries the surviving child suffered.
