He's actually being bullied for stupid shite he did as a child.

This would only be true if he admitted he actually did the bullying.

And again... the manner in which these people are attacking him... if he just came clean and admitted it... the vast majority of people would take his side.

He has every reason to just admit it and move on. He also, of course, has a number of great reasons to fully deny it, if he truly didn't do it.

He's not doing either. He's not admitting it but he's also not outright denying it... he's just saying he's a man of God.

Um. False

So.........it's OK to bully him if you determine he's not acting according to your values. Hmm...........that's interesting.

You're slamming a professional for his lack of experience in a specific situation, which is fair, then you make this absolute statement.

To use your passive tactics displayed in this thread: Please tell me you see what a hypocritical prick you're being with this statement. How many kids do you know who committed suicide due to bullying that had shitty parents?

Your "never can be wrong" attitude about literally everything you say will not allow it, but frick that absolute statement with a guaranteed zero amount of experience.

Why is it absurd. The only people who ever respond to this assertion seem to go 100% with just being appalled.

A child you reaches an age that they might kill themselves and do so over words is a child that was not taught how to deal with words. This is self evident.

I suppose if we're talking really young.........that would be an exception. But, how many 9 year olds kill themselves?

He seriously might not remember whether it happened or not.

i don't remember shite from 7th grade and I saw plenty of really bad bullying first hand.

I probably 15 years younger than the super.

I don't remember every detail from 7th grade, every test, etc. But I remember broad brushes.

I remember I got in three fist fights in 7th grade with 3 different other guys. All at recess. Two were mocking me, and one pushed me.

I remember getting in trouble because I mocked two other kids. I remember their names and why I mocked them.

I also got in trouble because I tried to put a kid into a locker, because he accused a friend of mine of cheating.

Every guy is a little turdhead in middle school. Emotions are raw, hormones, whatever you want to call it. That's why if the super just said yeah, I was an idiot, the vast majority of people would admit they were also idiots, and everyone would move on.

All adults fell out of the sky an adult. They have no recollection of what they were taught when they were children and how the children around them approached things vs now. Nope. Space aliens just transported us here fully grown!!!

Rare but not unheard of

Obviously, my post acknowledged that they were not "unheard of".

Hence, why I posted it.

Can we all admit that the actions of the complainer - and those who support him - aren't helping the situation?

I don't recall a single person in this thread defending the method in which the complainer has operated. So your continual desire to accuse the complainer of being a bully is really not necessary. We get it. We agree with it.

The issue at hand is about the superintendent and how HE is acting and reacting.

The complainer who went to the board meeting appears to have actually grown IN to being a bully.

This isn't even that uncommon.

Anyone who has ever had the "privilege" of having a boss who was an outcast as a kid knows that the boss has a high propensity for being a spectacular dick.

So, you have an issue with how someone being bullied reacts to being bullied? Interesting.

No, I have an issue with a person who seems to be unable to admit fault or deny fault, and instead, uses political weasel words and multiple references to his religious beliefs.

Most people understand parenting isn't easy and black and white. Most peoplen also understand there are many other factors than just parenting that makes a kid do things. You assume any kid that takes his life must not have been told not to let things get to them, or maybe you believe they were never told not to hurt themselves.

You don't understand these things, and your brazen form of communicating your thoughts is either intentional to illicit a reaction, or just who you are. Either way, when you make bold, absolute claims with really no understanding or experience, you shouldn't be shocked at the response.

Not even close to accurate. Not even in the same area code as accurate.

Why are you defending the super? Is that you, Mr. Hindt?

I'm fairly certain he's just a troll. At least I hope so... because it would be really sad if someone actually thinks the way he acts.

My question is this. In the man's statement he also blamed teachers and coaches for bullying him. Why 35 years later did he single out someone who was a kid back then? Kinda makes him the vengeful bully now.

Um. It's sad that I have to point the following out to someone who should know better but:

dont apologize for being wrong. That is not sad at all. You are just incorrect.

quote:

1. You are basing your info on your clients. Short of being forced to go see you, your clients are self selecting. Please tell me you understand this.

Not basing my information just on my patients. That is your assumption. I know that my patients have a selection bias. Everyones encounters have this. I am basing it on much more than that. I am fascinated by human behavior. I study it all the time. I read about it, I have published about it in respected medical journals, and I watch it in my community all the time. I never said I was just analyzing my patients.

quote:

2. You didn't actually answer my question because you didn't know these clients when they were children in most cases.

incorrect again. I have seen hundreds of kids from childhood to adulthood.

quote:

Yet, it hasn't occurred to you that quite obviously, a bully who is still mean and violent is far more likely to be on your sofa than a childhood bully who grew the frick out of it.

It's a good thing REAL doctors don't diagnose the population in this manner.

I see lots of people on a daily basis. I see their families and their relatives. I see the ripple effect that their humility/service to others AS OPPOSED to their arrogance/selfishness and its impact on them.

By the way, you never told us your qualifications. Did you stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night?
