Join Texas Doodle Dogs on FB, they always have rescues or people looking to rehome.

OMG, man, Goldendoodle????? Have you lost your mind?????? Those are THE WORST breed EVER!!!!!!! Not only are they DUMB but completely unruly and ill disciplined...

You want to "adopt" a designer breed? 
That's not really the dogs that get adopted.....you know, cuz most people will pay 1,000 bucks for them, so there aren't a lot just roaming the streets. Now, you want a mutt conceived in a dumpster and born next to a sewage plant.....those are pretty easy to adopt.

I don’t want to buy a puppy. I’d rather get one from someone who doesn’t want or can’t care for their adult dog anymore. I don’t mind paying for it just would rather it not be a puppy.

We actually just took one in from a person who bought one then 8 months later realized they couldn't accommodate a dog. I hate those kind of people. That will probably be the only way to adopt a goldendoodle as people have previously stated, they're a highly wanted dog and not put up for adoption often.

By “adopt” I didn’t mean take for free. I understand the cost and dont mind paying it. I’ve never assumed adopt means free.

This is only a reflection of the owner and how they train the dog. Golden doodles are extremely smart and easy to train. They'll only misbehave if they aren't being properly mentally and physically stimulated.

stop being so selfish, and get a rescue dog. So many great dogs out there who deserve a chance at a life, not just based on what they might look like.

last 4 dogs have been rescue dogs all mental or physical disabilities which required plenty of patience, money, and vet care. I am “selfishly” trying to mend the broken hearts of my 5 and 8 year olds whom just lost their 15+ old rescue lab mix. Posted on 7/30/18 at 2:17 pm to CorkSoaker

Got lucky really. It was one of my sister's friend who had gotten it for a Christmas gift for her kids. Feel bad for the kids but it is an incredibly smart animal. Especially compared to my lab who I'm pretty sure is broken.
