Did you eat the untouched sandwich? I’d have wrapped that up in a napkin and had it for lunch tomorrow.

Sure. If you're huffing glue. Since when is a fork obsolete? OP is just 'trying' to sound deep like he's talking to a 14 tear old girl trying to impress her and , uh, I guess it worked.

I know exactly what you mean.

Well never know what caused that would-be sandwich eater to leave.

I don’t care what you or anyone here thinks of me. Y’all downvote me into oblivion all the time. I just post stuff I think is interesting to think about.

I am intrigued by why some of you get so emotional about threads that you aren’t forced to view, on a website that you don’t own, populated by people you will never meet.

I can guarantee that the people / person who owns this site doesn’t want less participation.

There is a much bigger mystery going on here. The sandwich situation is obvious. The guy had an important phone call and stepped outside. He was then mugged and shot. At the emergency room he required emergency surgery.

The surgeon actually was able to do his job. Leaving without eating the sandwich saved his life; otherwise, he would have aspirated during the procedure and died.

I was at a restaurant once. Ordered my meal and everything was fine. At some point between ordering and receiving my food, I became violently ill. Just a wave of extreme nausea hit me. I broke out into a cold sweat and felt dizzy and my mouth was watering like it does when hurling is imminent.

The waitress put my food down and I said “thank you”. As soon as she walked away, I put a $20 on the table and swiftly moved out the restaurant. Made it to my truck and spent the next 45 minutes puking into a plastic bag I had in the center console.

I made it home and spent the next 3 days laid up with a horrific virus.

I occasionally think back to how weird it must have been for the waitress to come back to her section and see an untouched club sandwich and fries, an untouched beverage and a $20 bill.

Or maybe it didn’t seem weird to her at all.
