If it makes you feel better, high end bicycles cost more than $7k.

Biggest curiosity to me is why everyone thinks they have to have a 700 or 1000. Rancher 420 is PLENTY of 4 wheeler.

For years all me and my dad had was a 250 and on multiple occasions we double headed that thing with a deer on front.

That being said.... it's a sellers market in the ATV world. Not many discounts to be had due to inventory shortages

Inventory shortages? I was at a local ATV Zone a couple of weeks ago, and it looked like they had 200+ on the lot.

The panties only start to drop once you get to around the 500+ range.

I currently have a 98 Suzuki that I bought brand new for $2300. It’s been awesome, but finally needs a new carburetor. The OEM carb is $600, so I figured I’d check out some new ones.

I wasn’t aware that they have become such luxury items.

Who is giving $7K+ for these toys?

I’ve got a Polaris Ranger XP 1000, Honda Rincon 680, and a Yahama Kodak 400. Looking to get a Can-Am 1000 XT in matte black to keep here in Baton Rouge once my shop is built. Everything else stays between my dads two shops in Texas.

Ha...mine is just a 250 with low range.

I’ve had 2 200Lb+ men, treestands, bows, and a deer on mine before. It got up and down the NE Alabama mountains just fine.

It’ll go anywhere there’s land.

We use golf carts now to get to the stands. No noise or smell but we don’t have mountains either

Get your guy to take the parts needed out of the chicom carb and use them to rebuild your OEM carb. Most of those chicom atv carbs are a POS.

If he doesn't want to do that keep the old OEM carb because you will need it later to rebuild.

What model Suzuki is it?

Buy Chinese carb.

Disassemble both and lay out. Replace as many components in the Chinese carb with the stock ones as they will be much more durable.

You really should just get a kit. Realistically I've repaired a bunch buy cleaning the original and just using the bowl from the Chinese carb. Those are usually the worst parts and hard to clean fromshit sitting in there crusting over.

You can use a Dremel and sanding tool to clean quickly.

That Suzuki is going to last you. Keep it. Save your $$

Take your carb off and soak it overnight in some carb cleaner. I use Yamaha carb cleaner. Buy a kit for the o-rings, needle valve and seat. If you buy the Chinese carbs they come with 3 different main jets usually. Make sure you match your original jet size.

I thought in 1996 I was hot shite when I bought a new Big Bear loaded with skinny Swampers for $5,500. The prices are insane today. I bought a Jeep instead!
