Does he remember anything about the headlights?
Were they the bracket/ c-clanp style like the newer models, or a large single bulb? Yellow-ish, or bright white?
That could help narrow which gen Ford you're looking for.
Also, it was likely a diesel, but can he confirm that? Noisy, or more quiet?

Has anyone checked the collision area for truck nutz that got knocked off ? That could really help us narrow the pool down quickly.

If the truck was stopped, they likely got a good look and heard it take off.
Rims? 4-door (likely), any dents or holes in the dually fenders?

I feel for you, but I don't get threads like this. There's not enough information here for anyone to help you. All the info we have is the make and model of the truck and that it happened at 1AM on an interstate?

There are traffic cameras at all those exits. Not sure if they record or how long, etc. Will the cops access those?

There is a Baton Rouge General Ascension ER on the eastern side of I-10 near there. Maybe they have a camera or possibly the driver checked in there?

The cops won’t really care to look into it.
My wife and daughter were in a hit and run that totaled her car 6 years ago. The state trooper said “you have insurance, it will cover it - we’re not investigating it.”

There are 2 traffic cams at the light that would have seen the dually, on the S side of I-10 at the 30/10 intersection. One is pointing down to read plates of vehicles that exited, then turn left.
I don't know who stores that footage, or if they are too lazy to look through it.

I worked for the DOTD for a minute some of (most) don’t store footage but are merely a live stream. That said maybe that if one that stores video.
