They'll just bully the manufacturers into doing it.
They're not going to stop making ICE trucks for a very long time. They might have to make less of them to hit fleet emissions standards, but they won't stop. They'll just become more of a niche market for people who need them rather than every baw immediately needing a F250 4x4 to mall crawl. Those will still be available, but lower production numbers.

Hydrogen is the future for ICE's.

Something we have zero infrastructure for seems like an odd choice.

which is estimated to add upwards of 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
So 20-30 minutes for half charge

The EPA test certified it for 450 mile range.
Dont know if they corrected it but last year there was a story out that EPA Milage on EVs were overblown by more than 50% to help them sell.

Payload probably isn’t enough to haul a couple 250 lb men and a cooler of beer with the weight of the battery necessary to sniff that kind of range

And only takes <5 minutes to fill a gas tank.
You driving 450+ miles often? You probably need a short break at some point. Otherwise, this vehicle is fully charged when it rolls out of the garage. No time at the gas station.

No do the range estimate pulling 500lb jon boat.

AND.... the colder the temp, the more drastic it reduces battery strength.

I drive 400 miles one way around 6-8 times per year on average. And EVs don't get their optimal range at highway speeds.
I read a real world test by Motor Trend of the Ford Lightning. Range was supposed to be 320 but it got more like 250 and took an hour to charge back to 80%. That's a 100k truck too essentially.

What do you people not get about it? I want the OPTION to drive wherever and whenever the frick I want. I don't want to have to plan my days and weeks based on charging times. I travel along the Gulf Coast a ton pulling my boat. I have a trailer for 4-wheelers and hunting camp shite. I train from Central Texas to the Atlantic Ocean. I want to continue to do these things ON MY TIME. Not the fricking Mickey Mouse government's.
Let car manufactures make their EVs and let the free market decide. Let's see who wins.

My favorite lake is 96.8 miles from driveway to boat ramp, I've watched multiple videos on the F-150 Lightning electric and the tow range is abysmal.
Ford has already issued a TSB that basically says don't tow with a Lightning. If people had any impulse control, these EVs, especially the trucks would go away overnight.

Fyi, the 4-motor Cybertruck is slated to have 500 miles of range.

The high end Lucid Air gets an epa tested 515 so I'm not sure where this claim is coming from.

Why can't they just make them look like a regular fricking car/truck. Why do they always need fricking robot headlights and other bullshite.

My boat never leaved the boat lift so no towing.
I sound ignorant. Leaved is leaves. No, no Sam Rayburn. Lots of lakes in East Texas.

Some of you guys would complain about anything. 450 is good. If you lose 100 miles because of a rare towing, so be it. 450 is MUCH better than the lightning and most EV cars. I don't want am electric vehicle, but props to GM for getting good results out of a truck
