I suppose if I was destitute I wouldn't turn down a waffle house job.

I'm being completely serious, I'd need more than that to switch careers to a waffle house worker. They bust arse and have to deal with a LOT of BS.

Humor me.

$300/shift x 5 shifts/week x 52 weeks/year= $78,000.

To work at Waffle House. That is more money than I made as a PM at a SELA construction company.

Do you have to sign a contract? How long is this guaranteed for? Zero stress making $1500/ week with two days off?

Can you provide some evidence of this, like a sign or something? I’m skeptical.

About 10 years ago Cosmo ran for mayor of Donaldsonville on a platform of ending violent crime by a program of midnight basketball and street graffiti exhibitions. He lost. The people get what they vote for.

I am too. No way that is sustainable. Must be a bonus or something.

No they aren't. Waiters at Waffle House are paid the $2.15 minimum for tipped, and nothing else besides an unlivable amount of tips, besides that "$300" sign on bonus(ONE TIME ONLY). No one tips at WH so it is basically $2.15/hr including time/gas, i.e the person loses money on working. I knew a black dude at Logan's who said WH was the worst place he has ever worked.

If it's close, you can put me down for 4 shifts a week.

You can make more than that driving Uber Mon-Friday taking long breaks during the day... $50-$60 an hour busting it on Friday and Saturday night if you want to maximize earnings.

The market wage is about $30 an hour right now for "unskilled labor". I bet there are some strings attached to that $300 and I bet it isn't every shift but I could see Waffle house guaranteeing some shifts at that price and still making bank. Every one is packed ALL NIGHT LONG in BR.

Yeah? Well, this is the one in Donaldsonville, so it doesn't exist.

Local McDonalds starts at $18. They're struggling to fill jobs.

I don’t believe this for one second. At least not without some sort of catch.

Maybe you don’t tip.

My wife and I’s bill is right at $18. I tip $15

Quit being fisking cheap and appreciate people who show up and work hard.

That being said you give shitty service and effort and your tip will reflect that. Once once in the hundreds of times I’ve eaten there has it been poor service. That’s pretty darn good if you ask me

I see many job openings, but they want employees working 12 hour shifts, weekends, and nights.

I destroyed my life in 2015 and had a long crawl back. Early part of that involved living in a halfway house and being surrounded mostly by those in the same position. I knew several that worked at Wafflehouse, IHOP, Checkers, etc. they barely made money and we’re treated like total shite by 90% of the customer base.

My choice was Outback and I quadrupled (if not more) their nightly income. BUT, I had lots of experience waiting tables and I’m a damn good server.

I think I would wash cars at Bennys before I would wait tables at WH or IHOP.
