Looks like the old boy spent $62,000 on an engagement ring and when things went south wanted it back. There's even a chihuahua involved.

I’d pay $62,000 to get rid of the chihuahua

"There's a big age difference with us. Reading this, you could say it's a typical cliché relation of a sugar daddy. It was not like that. It was never like that," she said.

If anything...this can be used as an example as to why the 70 year old age cutoff is appropriate when a certain judge inevitably challenges it.

I'm Pretty sure ole Michael Simon taught us in LSU Blaw 3201(the first one?) that dudes are SOL trying to get back engagement rings.
An appeals court judge doesn't realize that?
Eta: i'ma dummy. Ignore me.

Just the opposite in LA actually. The ring is a gift contingent on the marriage. The man is entitled to get the ring back.

62K for a ring? Damn. How much do elected judges on Louisiana's 1st Circuit Court of Appeal make (besides 350)?
