Local Appeals Court Judge Sueing Ex Girlfriend for Engagement Ring and Other Expenses

Looks like the old boy spent $62,000 on an engagement ring and when things went south wanted it back. There's even a chihuahua involved. Link is to Advocate article.

If anything...this can be used as an example as to why the 70 year old age cutoff is appropriate when a certain judge inevitably challenges it.

I'm Pretty sure ole Michael Simon taught us in LSU Blaw 3201(the first one?) that dudes are SOL trying to get back engagement rings.

An appeals court judge doesn't realize that?

Just the opposite in LA actually. The ring is a gift contingent on the marriage. The man is entitled to get the ring back.
