Ruth’s $1.59 million Upper West Side pad it it me or does this number seem shockingly low?

It’s a 3 bedroom apartment. Luxury by 1920s standards is probably damn near poverty level compared to what current Yankees are living in.

Needing permission from strangers to buy a home is something I can’t even comprehend.

he probably spent a summer there and it’s it’s like 700 square feet in a walk up.

It was his primary residence for 20 years. His prime Yankee years. 1920-1940

I looked at Google Maps to see where in the Upper Westside the apartment was. Just along that street there are two more historic "celebrity" apartments she could get:

That is 100' from Liz Lemon's apt.

In order for the neighbors to hear about Liv, they would have to go online and seek out content about her. Her and Paul get advertised, but don't really seem to advertise themselves to those in their physical vicinity.

She should post "I guess Paul won't be playing for the Yankees in the future".

This is precisely what her response should have been

In an honest melancholic way, not threatening or vindictive

Then just sit back and enjoy
