State AG could theoretically take this one on with the LP DA having to recuse themselves.
Doesn’t make it much more likely but it is an easy call to say the top prosecutor and top cop in LP have enough of a relationship that the top prosecutor can’t handle the case.

Jason Ard has no honor or he would have already resigned. Ard's actions in this matter have brought shame and suspicion to everyone at LPSO. Reasonably, who can you trust with LPSO? You don't know, and that's the terrible part.
Ard's continued presence undermines the office of Sheriff and the good deputies who work there. The situation is only going to deteriorate for the forseeable future as details are released.

This is a symptom of the biggest problem. The majority of the people in this parish have always treated him like a saint. There have been rumblings for years that he and the dept were corrupt but nobody around here wants to look at things with a critical eye. Until the people of this Parrish wise up and start to actually pay attention, it will be same old same old.

Who else here also believes that Perkins has shite on Ard hidden away in a storage locker somewhere that NO ONE knows about? When Perkins rolls on Ard, Ard is going to take EVERYONE down with him. Perkins gets a deal and the AG takes down the Sheriff's office, Judges, Attorneys, and the School Board.

Denny was arrested the day before her. Which was Tuesday. She was arrested the next day. Students weren’t present that day because it was parent/teacher conference day. Cynthia went to work & resigned before being arrested. Which means she’ll never lose her pension.

Ard has a knack for using red herring tactics. That press conference showcased how he likes to point the finger and deflect questions about him. He made a mockery of himself during that live press conference.
