Does the LP teacher retirement vest before 10 years of service? Because I believe she only taught for about 5-7 years.

With TRSL, I think you’re vested after 5 years, but you can’t start collecting until you’re 60 unless you have more years. The amount you’d earn with 5 years of service is pretty small, too.
