A bit dramatic. It's the jails responsibly to ensure that doesn't happen. I doubt they want State police up their arse investigating why a prisoner got murdered. Does it happen? I bet, but it's not like everyone has been told.

Take it from someone that worked in the LA DOC system that inmates don't give 2 shits about pedophiles. They may prey on them because they are weak but not for the crime they committed.

If they had any sort of moral code that required them to punish pedophiles, odds are they wouldn't be in prison in the first place

This guy knows what he is talking about. I have worked in LA DOC as well. There is no “prison justice” like people fantasize about. Mostly it’s guys trying to figure out how to get by for the duration of their sentence or trying to figure out how to have their time reduced.

Dude will be in a single man cell for the rest of his life. With 1 hour of tier time. He will be escorted by 2 guards on every hospital, court, and other trip outside his his living tier. The state has protocols for inmates like this guy. When he is convicted at the court house he will go straight to David Wade or to CCR at Angola.
