No clue.

Nowhere in the title or the body of her link does it say anyone died.

This area isn't really congested.

How about just getting a tag number and vehicle description?

So what happens when the douche steals someone's license plate? Since you know, he is a criminal and all.

I'm all for the war on drugs ending but how do you know that's what the chase was about? Maybe he just murdered someone.

Maybe it's because it's a mobile link and I'm looking at it on a laptop

When I click the link it says someone died in a title, that's weird.

I posted what's at the link I click on 1st page, last post. Are we getting different pages?

Fwiw, I'm on mobile.

Do you really need a link? If they don't chase, the evidence gets tossed. The incentive to give chase opposed to just putting out a description of the car increases exponentially. Next thing you know fricking 20 cop cars are in line chasing someone.

Agreed. Like that incident in Port Allen two weeks ago where the police chased those two good boys just for driving on the shoulder around stopped traffic. All they found at the end of the chase was that kidnapped woman tied up in the back of the van. Cops should have just got that license number and written those boys a citation after they were done raping and murdering her.

I would ratchet up charges of fleeing police in a vehicle, first of all. Make it a serious felony.

I can't believe anyone thinks it's a good idea for cops to simply let criminals go when they flee in a vehicle. That's a monumentally stupid idea.

You charge him with murder. Louisiana I believe has a law where you can be charged with murder if an accomplice of yours is killed while committing a felony(shoot out with cops during a bank robbery for example).
That should be applied to innocent victims whether killed by the suspect or the LEO in pursuit.
Make this widely known and follow through with the conviction via mandatory jail time or other stipulations to reduce plea-downs.

You couldn't pay me enough to be a cop in today's world. Every decision you make is the wrong one and you have to be a racist to be a cop, I'm told.

I agree. This POS deserves to be charged with homicide.

With the Utah truck driver fresh in mind,

quote:

What's the story here? Didn't see it.

He's talking about the recent story where the nurse in Utah was arrested for not taking blood on the victim of a crash, who had been hit by a car fleeing police.

The truck driver who was hit, William Gray, was badly burned in the wreck (thug being chased died on the scene), was unconscious, and the police had no probable cause or warrant to get his blood so the nurse refused to draw it and was arrested.

One good thing about all the recent press surrounding the nurse's arrest is that the Gofundme page set up for William Gray has gained about $2000 in the last week.

OP is questioning whether police should continue their pursuits at the risk of others on the road.
