Anybody on the OT live in or near San Diego, CA? I’ve always wanted to visit there and check out the sights.

Heard it's amazing despite being in the communist state of California. I'd love to visit there as well

Lived there for four years while in school and working. Heaven on earth. Highly recommend. Left because job market sucked in the 90s but I'd move back in a second if the opportunity arose.

Where are some of the best places to visit in the city? What is the beach/surfing like? What’s the food like? Just basic info

I go there every year, Beautiful city and gorgeous people. You need to be making at least 250k to afford living there.

La Jolla beach ( good luck with parking)

Hodads at Pacific beach (burger joint)

Gaslamp (the strip)

If your feeling brave, head down to Roserito for a day (skip TJ)

SD has diverse beaches so it depends on what kind of beach you like? Lounging in the sun... or exploring caves?

Surfing is hit or miss, Pacific beach and Torrey Pines are the most common spots.

I’m pretty sure it’s ‘La Jolla.’
