Speaking of, where has Nurse been? I hadn’t seen her posting in awhile. Hope she’s ok.

Still here. Don’t post as much though. Doing great though. Just recently started dating so that’s been interesting to say the least. My very first date in 14 years was an absolute nightmare and easily takes the trophy for worst first date ever Currently getting ready for my 3rd date now with one guy (early am hiking followed by brunch) and he seems really promising so far. Just going slow though.

I LOVE living alone btw. Been enjoying being just myself and Butters in my post divorce apartment. I won’t live with someone again unless I actually plan on marrying them. Otherwise I’ll just enjoy the quiet and freedom of not having to answer to anyone but myself.

My wife was at her sister's for the last week. I was just starting to really miss her. She came home and was in a pissy mood because I told her we probably shouldn't plant an oak tree over the sewer line. Either way it's death by a thousand cuts

This seems to be true and I've went the hermit route. When I was young the last place someone would look for me was my home but now when I have multiple options of things to do I always choose the one that gets me home the fastest

One day you'll be married. With wife and kids so busy you rarely see them.
Tethered to a job and a house.
Then you'll look back and miss those days when you were responsible to no one but yourself.

And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife
And you may ask yourself, "Well... how did I get here?"

Wrong. Taking things slow. Just a hike and brunch today. I’ll see him again after he returns from a work trip.

Lived alone for 7 years. Definitely had it’s ups and downs. Living alone I procrastinated and was flat out lazy. I wonder what I did with all of my time. But I will take the hectic lifestyle days of having a family over the lonely depressing nights that would come every once in awhile when living alone.

I will 100% take the lonely nights I have sometimes living alone vs the nights towards end of marriage I felt lonely and wasn’t even living alone. At least I’m no longer trapped and free to chart my own life however I want.

Sometimes the best date is a quiet evening and a nice bottle of wine
