This is true. A family can help give you meaning in life. When you are alone there is little to give your day-to-day life any meaning. It's true.

The only major downside is covering living costs all by yourself.

I know the feeling. I was engaged and my fiancé passed away, and I’ve been living without another adult for a few years now. It gets pretty lonely at night.

It’s weird at first, but you grow to enjoy it. Or at least I did. I lived alone for 2 years, before meeting my wife. You kind of figure out who you are during that time.

And while I love my wife, and love coming home to someone, supper on the table, enjoying company, all that shite, I still look forward to the occasional weekend that I have the house to myself.

The only thing that sucks about it is having to pay all of the bills by yourself.

I haven't lived by myself since about 2002 I think. I almost forget what that feels like

The married w/kids guys are envious of the live-alone bachelors.

The live-alone bachelors are envious of the guys with a wife and kids.

Well, I guess the happy medium is a wife and no kids?

Man this is lonely. Weird feeling not being able to walk across into the living room and chat with your roommate or sibling/parent.

LISTEN! Don't move a muscle. You need to go and touch the walls, lay down on the floor, and take a deep breath.

Dont frick this up. You are now in your own fan club. No parents, classmates, wives or kids.

Take a piece of paper and tape it to the door. Write a word on it and call it your password. This password will only be good for 30 days. Any girlfriend you have, They get the password but it expires. When it does, a new girl gets the password.

Only allow people in your life who bring you arse, grass or cash. No free rides.

In all seriousness, dont give away your free space. This is the only place in the world that you control. As soon as you get a wife or a dog they own it.

You want to come over - my house is FULL. We have six kids and my mother lives with us - which I guess explains why my husband works all the time.

You want to come over and take a break from the kids? You can wear whatever you want, or not. I have a pool.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard guys at work say they work longer hours so they don’t have to be at home
