spent a summer in Kansas. you have never seen a thunderstorm until you have been in that area of the country. the severe weather that channel 9 pushes down everybodies throat is a normal rain shower up there

I’d much rather experience an earthquake than to have a tornado anywhere around me. Those things are terrifying

I love the radio warning on the Ken guys stream. "You are approaching a twisting storm, please exercise caution."

I just texted my mom the link to the live streams on these tornadoes and swear her response was "whoa me and your dad were just watching twister earlier"

I said "umm do you post on the OT?"

She said "huh?"

I said Nevermind

Get in the cellars family! Let the storm chasers chase the twister!

Nah. I experienced the 1989 Lima Prieta quake. The big event wasn't as scary as the aftershocks. By the time you realize what is happening during the big earthquake it is halfway over. Trying to sleep wondering if the aftershocks are going to crumble the house is scary.

Even worse. I had just finished organizing 25000 baseball cards. They were in large stacks in my room prior to the quake.

I live in Kansas! Luckily that thing is out in the plains and not around KC. If it comes this way I have plenty of whiskey and a basement.

Guess it's time to get the weather alert radio out.
