Dude, advice like that is gonna get someone killed.

You can't just use any blue shed, you need THE Blue Shed.

I can’t imagine there is anything scarier than a big tornado barreling down on you. It’s the stuff nightmares are made of. Prayers sent to Kansas

Wish we’d get some rain in the south central part of Ks but those big damn tornados can kick rocks.

That’s why I can’t talk my wife into moving there. That and grassfires and drought.

EXACTLY. I watched a tornado destroy a good bit of Fort Worth from my 8th floor apartment in the high-rise at Forest Park about 20 years ago... It is the type that of thing you want to see until you see it. I joke around that I have PTSD (post tornado stress disorder) and I'm a disaster junkie to this day.

We have a family farm between Greensburg & Coldwater. Great people there, but I can't imagine living there..

I went to a job site with my dad back in 1979 when this tornado hit. We were out in the middle of nowhere at a rig site and we watched it pass by on the way towards town. It was about 1mi wide on the ground and it came within 1/2mi of us. My dad and I got in his truck and he drove it into some woods nearby. The wind blew the rig over and knocked some of the equipment several hundred feet away. I was 8yrs old and will never forget the sound that beast made as it passed by. Scared the shite out of me.

I disagree. If an F5 tornado is in your area at night you can’t see it to get away from it and if you don’t have a storm shelter then you’re at the mercy of luck. With an earthquake, you can avoid serious injury by getting out of your house and away from structures that can collapse and kill you. You can’t do that with a tornado. Even if you don’t take a direct hit debris flying at 300mph will kill you.

Greensburg

That place has taken a direct hit at least twice in the last few years. It's like Moore, OK. Tornadoes make a beeline for it.

Shits looking like it may hit the fan for us here again today. It’ll be worse where I am in Wichita than yesterday. Not even sure we got a rain storm out of it yesterday.
