Due to age and the weather that's been hitting LA recently, the 300(ish) year old oak tree in my parents' back yard split in half. Very fortunate that it didn't do any major damage to the house, just minor roof damage, but it's just a huge bummer to lose that tree. I grew up climbing it and overnight it's gone.

Of all the bad things that could happen in life, this one is so minor. But still sucks.

Happy Tuesday baws!

When dirty a little beggar bitch grifter uses a disaster covered by insurance to draw attention to themselves and make it their personal tragedy (even though it happened to hundreds of others), and even though they have insurance they make a gofundme to further fleece good natured people out of their coin to simply bankroll the helmeted harlots whims.

Let me be very clear, this is not a thread to preempt a GoFundMe.

Found an echo moth on the ground that didn't move for hours, so I put my hand out and she climbed on and hung out with me for a few hours. She wasn't flying so I assumed she was hurt. The next morning there were eggs all over my door that she laid so I figured she was alright. I didn't know moths die after laying their eggs. Had a nice few moments with that bug.

Not my pic but accurate.

You should name the movie “My Moth Teacher”

My parents have two similarly aged oak trees in their back yard. I’d feel the same way if they had to be removed for any reason.

Evening routine after kids go to bed

It is damn insufferable to just watch the latest sitcom or HBO series night after night in perpetuity

My new Rat Terrier is 1 and a half and is still as impulsive as she was as a puppy. She attacks other dogs on sight. Little shite is going to get herself killed. I can’t control her. Real bad case of small dog syndrome. Never had a dog so vicious.

About 5 or 6 years ago we had a stray cat show up at our hunting camp. I started feeding him to keep him around so he can kill mice and other varmint around the barn. We never had any idea on his history or age, but he always seemed in good health. I tried to corral him one time to take to the vet, but he wasn't having it. Had the local vet come out there and he couldn't corral him either. Anyway, we haven't seen him around in several months and it's kind of bummed me out thinking he's dead, likely attacked by a coyote. I never even touched the cat, but had grown attached to him. He didn't let anyone touch him, but he'd lie around about 10-20 yards from us until someone stood up and he'd take off into the woods.

I fricking love that part of my day

Wife and I watch an episode or two of whatever show we're currently into while I smoke my weed pen and sip on scotch and she falls asleep with her head on a pillow on my lap.

That's the good shite man.

eTA:

We do not watch sitcoms though. Usually something like Mare of Easttown, Madmen, Game of Thrones, Band of Brothers, The Wire, Breaking Bad, The West Wing, etc.

My mom took down all the shite in my childhood bedroom and put it all in a box and gave it to me when I was in college and I still get upset thinking about all my cool shite in a box that is currently in my garage and will likely never be displayed again. All my trophies and pictures of my friends taken with disposable cameras, mixed tapes from girlfriends, posters of my favorite athletes, etc.

I'll never throw it away, but I still feel like it's gone.
