Little brother moved to Baton Rouge. Any advice for him?

He knows nothing about the area at all. He went to rehab and get some mental health help at the Louisiana state hospital. After six months insurance stopped paying so he went to a halfway house and got a job etc. He became a free man three days ago and he and two others are moving into a house down the road from a country club. Just his part of the rent is 600 bucks unless he lied about that. All I told him was maybe stay away from the north side after some things I have read here. The roommates were from Lousiana and they talked him into living in Baton Rouge. He said they aren't very far from tiger stadium. Now I can save some money this year on hotel stay at least.

He needs to be careful and hope he doesn’t fall into the wrong crowd. Obviously we don’t know what type of rehab he went to but there’s drugs everywhere in Baton Rouge these days. Good luck to him.

If he's an addict, Baton Rouge is a bad place to be.

Sounds like he moved in with 2 "former" drug addicts that are from BR and know exactly where to get their next fix.
Expect the relapse to happen sooner than later.

Best of luck to him. If the guys he's living with are from BR, it's going to be hard for them to separate from previous acquaintances.

Baton Rouge is a horrible place for him to be if he has substance abuse issues.

Probably BR country club. That's a nice area of town. Stay out of NBR and a few select neighborhoods in SBR and he'll be fine. The vast majority of SBR is fine.
Obviously, he'll be able to find trouble if he slips up and goes looking for it. Good luck to him.
