Goodwill will take it and when you pull up someone will get it out of the truck for you....and someone will buy it and use it most likely.

Busted primer bulb is a very very complicated fix, can see why you'd get rid of it.

That's what neighborhood app is for. No names, just say what you are giving away and any details, list your address and say it will be on the curb for the first one to get to it. Close the app, and redelete from your phone.
For lawn equipment, I have given stuff to the guy that cuts my neighbor's yard. Tell him my issue, he says he'll tinker with it and if he can fix it will just use it until it dies/breaks.

I don't have Facebook, but my wife does.
Look, I'm not listing shite for sale, much less for free. I'd rather just throw it away than deal with someone I don't know coming over to my house out in the country and I'm not meeting some rando at a parking lot.
I just throw stuff I dont want in my dumpster or in my bonfire pit.

I sell a lot of stuff on FB Marketplace. But my focus is on getting rid of the item, not making money. So I price it to sell quickly, and it almost always does. I get some annoying behavior, mostly in the form of people who ghost after acting committed, but overall it’s worthwhile. I’d rather sell something for $20 than trash it for nothing. And if it’s a name brand furniture/home decor item then women line up to buy.

Sounds great. But you still have to coordinate meeting up with some random jabroni.
People i don't know are not welcome on my farm in the country, and im not meeting someone in a parking lot. frick all that.
My time is more valuable to me than the time commitment and hassle for anything from a few bucks to a few hundred bucks.

Yeah, much more useful to post 29000 times on here. TD is so much more high and mighty than facebook.

Money is a little tight right now. Can you deliver it to me?

Not everyone is lucky enough to live in the middle of nowhere, man. I live in a Texas suburb full of wives who line up to buy my wife’s unwanted shite. Even if it’s lawn equipment to a jabroni, it ain’t hard.

As others have said, just put it by the road. If you want, post a curb alert on Nextdoor.
We once put a rug that was actual trash and covered in dog vomit (obv no curb alert post) and it was gone in 45 minutes.

Do you have any trimmer line with it?
I don't have a car will you hold it until the weekend?
Do you deliver?
Does it work?
Will it work on my yard?

I just put stuff like that by street and somebody generally grabs it within a few hours

Quit asking so much for everything. Im constantly on FB MP, and teh prices people want for used crap is too high.
Posted on 8/28/25 at 12:01 pm to Jenious
If I really want it gone I post it for a normal price and in the description where they would have to read more I say it’s free.

Do you think my grandmother's second cousin with Alzheimer's would be able to operate it?
