Gotta say I enjoy both holidays, but here is my list of reasons why Thanksgiving is better than Christmas (LOL, I'll change my answers in a month)

1. The weather is typically better.

2. The holiday is structured where (most) everyone gets a 4 day weekend, whereas Christmas is random and for some we have to go back to work the day after Christmas.

3. Better sports. NFL games plus the big college rivalry games, compared to some flunky Armed Forces Bowl or Holiday Bowl.

4. Shopping. Not that I care for this, but it is better than having to worry about returns, etc. the day after Christmas.

5. Gift giving. Don't have to worry about getting relatives useless Christmas presents. Just get together and eat.

What are yours reasons?

It’s much more relaxed. You get to hang out with your family and eat and drink to excess.

Tough call. That one dinner where Native Americans and white people didnt cut each other’s heads off was pretty epic.

If that was what being celebrated it would be fabulous. Unfortunately Christ was left out a long time ago.

1. I get to stay home and eat and not deal with family gatherings on Thanksgiving. I have to travel home for Christmas. I love my family, but it can be exhausting.

2. Thanksgiving hasn't become bastardized by over-commercialization and terrible music that is played 24 hours a day.

We don't have to nail a Jew to a tree. That's Christmas, right?

Also, there's turkey and football.
