My original post was just to say that just because a person agrees with someone on one issue doesn't mean they must agree on all issues. And such a situation isn't hypocritical in the least.
agreed

Didn't Jim Bernhard oppose StG too?
Super wealthy people will mostly be against St. George.
They don't need a new school district, their kids go to Episcopal or nice boarding schools. They don't have the same motivations as middle-class folks that can afford great private schools, but it is still a big check for them to write.

But what kills me about Rispone is that he parading around like he is behind Trump 100% policy wise, but he has never met a Foreign worker or Illegal that he didn't hire.
how in the blue sky frick would you know that? you work for ISC?
here's a news flash...the crafts and trades industry of this area (or any other area to be honest) would collapse if not for jose and raul, who work hard, work smart, take pride in their craftsmanship and most importantly, show up every day ready to work from the second their boots hit the dirt. if the native population of this state weren't so mind-numbingly stupid, across the board, ISC and others like them would gladly hire them. but...they are
and guess what? jose and raul are making good money, spending some of it in the local market, raising families, and making the economy spin. the typical meth-addled LP trash and the typical NBR EBT-addict are doing neither
rispone has run the single worst campaign i have ever witnessed in my 35 years of voting. he actively is pandering to the stupidity of every one of those people who couldn't work for him if they even tried. you want to bash him, go ahead...he's done more than enough to deserve it. but for god's sake dont be the stupid that he clearly thinks you are

I’ll upvote for this statement alone.
The rest of your rant sucks

Does anyone 100% agree with anyone?

The man never ran for office, no one knew who he was outside of BR, and yet he somehow managed to debate the governor, a career pol, and put himself in a good position to win the governor’s race against a well financed opponent, and you think he’d run the worst campaign you’ve ever seen?

I do, but only 50% of the time and there's a 2/3 chance of that ever actually happening

he spent 12MM of his own money on saturation ad buys, where he does nothing but squeal "i support trump!"
tell me sir, what are eddie rispone's policy plans for this state if he were to win?
donald trump carried the state in 2016 by a wide margin. any R-candidate is getting half the vote without even opening his mouth. reaching the runoff against a wildly unpopular democrat is not some great accomplishment

If beating JBE was so easy, why did so many potential favorites (Kennedy, Scalise, Cassidy, Landry) all pass on running?
Posted on 11/4/19 at 4:23 pm to teke184
Probably because it’s not the job they want
Posted on 11/4/19 at 4:24 pm to MrJimBeam
Only name on that list I can believe that from is Scalise.
You’re telling me that Jeff Landry doesn’t want to be Governor?

Save this post and revisit it in 3 years exactly for the answer to that question. HINT: Its one you already know the answer to.

kennedy is in his first term. why would he immediately run for governor?
scalise was in the hospital when repubs were getting vetted.
cassidy should have run, i have no idea why he did not.
landry is even less qualified than rispone, and probably tortures cats in his leisure time

He did get JA moved from the AD position but he is still employed by LSU so I guess that's a tie.
I thought Alleva quietly retired after the demotion.

You guys can say what you want about Rispone, but it's clear you don't know him. He lives a couple doors down from me and is genuinely one of the finest persons I've known. The LAST thing he is is phony. Family man, never skips mass, raised his kids right, kind and generous. I have no idea if he will make a good governor but is 100% a class act.

Sad because I think he has some good baws working for him. frick that guy.

I don’t have yo tell you anything, but what I already posted.
The man came from nowhere and is now on the verge of being Governor! No way does that depict a poor campaign.
Sure there were mistakes, but all in all the campaign has put him where he wants to be having started at what? 7 per cent.
