Lioness at Louisiana Purchase Gardens & Zoo, passes away at 22

The Louisiana Purchase Gardens & Zoo's lioness, Basha, has passed away at age 22.
The city announced Basha's death on Wednesday.
“We are sad to report that Basha the lioness, who has been a star at the Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo for twenty years, has passed away," Louisiana Purchase Gardens & Zoo Director Joe Clawson said in a provided statement.
The exact cause of death of will be determined in a necropsy.
No reports of it being due to wild pit bulls but they’re known to frequent the area so who knows.
