Funny story is that Mel Brooks was forbidden from doing that by the studio because they were thinking they’d get destroyed for animal cruelty, but Mel knew it was too good and did it anyway.

The review was brought up by Gutfeld today on The Five. Using his Google search suggestion this thread is 3rd on the list. I don't know how in the hell I missed this at the time.
First thought: Pure Beetlejuice
Second thought: After realizing this was before being a candidate/was a US attorney, how in the hell did this stay quiet so long? The count exhibited a lack of the temperament needed for any public office...much less mayor.
The Daleys criminal evaporate ran against token candidates for decades. There's already half a dozen viable candidates to take out Beetlejuice. One actively bribing people for votes by paying for their gas and food.

Second thought: After realizing this was before being a candidate/was a US attorney, how in the hell did this stay quiet so long? The count exhibited a lack of the temperament needed for any public office...much less mayor.
