Compared to the plethora of analysis that is available from a variety of different individual and institutional professionals on every individual equity. Pick the right ones and you consistently beat the S&P. Or if the S&P is where you set the bar, there are plenty of ETF’s or mutual funds that meet your needs.

I've tried both mac and iPhone. IME they are less intuitive than windows/android, "it just works" notwithstanding.

Well Damn… maybe it wasn’t the best time to buy a new MacBook!

Neither is American made but at least Apple is an American company…

I like my iphone and ipad... facetiming grandkids is awesome.
My favorite phone ever was the LG EnV, though.

Cooke used head start he was given with phones and existing customer base to control growth for his supply chain which is his expertise.
Products evolve just enough to fit that managed growth and supply chain even if they have to fall behind competitors’ offerings. They assume apple customers will stay Apple customers which happened for awhile, but they played this game too long and have fallen behind too much to continue doing this. They also can’t keep this up if they want to remain competitive in the EU as the EU forces it to be more like Android and build a market place for EU companies not Apple.
He became overly dependent on China and lost the power position they used to have with China.
Cooke also constantly buys back a ton of stock. He also throws Billions dollars a year to Hollywood while losing a billion a year because he likes that crowd and going to some of the awards shows.
He let a hardware designer control the look of software for awhile, and a strict adherence to user interface guidelines went away. Features would get hidden to have Ivy’s cleaner look.
He hires based on DEI across the company, but executives he hires or maintains employment of Yes people who will not rock the boat. He allowed employees to get soft on top of the DEI focus.
Jobs could be a hard arse, but he often played devil’s advocate because he wanted the person to defend and fight for what they wanted. You could disagree with him, but you better be prepared to bring it when you did. That conflict and passion is gone. Jobs had more charisma while dying of cancer than Cooke will ever have.
I read someone back when Cooke took over that when Jobs didn’t like a presentation you knew it immediately and exactly why. He was very point blank at times about calling something out early and often. When Cooke didn’t like a presentation he would take a bite of his protein bar and sit there in silence. I guess the person had to figure it out themselves.
Cooke is an operations guy and very good at that especially supply chain, but he has zero tech vision and isn’t a leader. But the board has basically been chosen by Cooke, and there has even been some board rumors/talk of making Cooke the Chairman on top of the CEO

Also, their messaging app sucks arse. On Android, you have the ability to do a keyword search and I haven’t found a way to do that on apple.
Keyword search in messaging?

I wait a before updating to let the kinks hopefully work out. What’s screwy on my 15 is sometimes the alarm doesn’t sound. It’s not dependable anymore so I have my iPad set to alarm as well so hopefully one goes off. I guess I’ll need to go buy an old fashioned alarm clock. No issues on my prior iPhones.

That kind of fall has already happened and Jobs pulled a miracle
People forget that Jobs ran Apple into the ground back in the 90’s. He got a second chance and pulled a miracle. Bill Gates had to bail him out.
