Boomers inherited more than they are leaving for future generations and that’s not really debatable.

You boomers can F off nobody cares you bought your house at 22 with money you made from being a boot cleaner for the military.

I just texted my 22 year old daughter who graduated from OU last May with a finance degree, and who, quite coincidentally, just purchased her first house for passive rental income while she's living with us. Her text regarding your post?

"Thanks for teaching me to save."

bullshite. You have no idea what we are leaving. I've already given my kids more than I was left and there will be a lot more when I croak.

Great example of what's wrong with the coddled generation. Still home at 22.

LOL! Some day, when you're a parent, you might decide to either love your kids or resent your kids. If you love your kids, you want to see them. You want to talk to them and hear them describe their dreams. You want to spend time together because it's fun and life-fulfilling to hear them speak intelligently, passionately and structured in their thoughts, opinions, character and judgement. It's rewarding as Hell to see your hard work, sacrifice and guidance become realized into the finished work of a decent, kind, caring, talented and successful adult with a bright future ahead of them.

My wife and I would not want to miss a minute of time with our kids that we don't have to. It's a gift to have family close to you. Once they're gone, once they move out, the times together with them becomes fewer and fewer. What's the rush? We don't give her a reason to feel like she needs to leave to be herself.

Oh, and btw, you'll probably resent the fact that this boomer paid every cent out of his own pocket for her to go to school, graduate cum laude, and land a six-figure job on her own right out of college working in a financial investment firm and in less than eight months of living at home where she saved enough to purchase property by living with us. And she's welcome to stay as long as she wants while we get to see and enjoy watching her develop into a successful businesswoman. And I didn't have to take it out of savings, or sell anything. I just wrote a check. So, yeah. She's white and privileged as shite.

That is not what's wrong with America. We're doing what your parents were supposed to do for you, which is, raise your kids to be successful at life. Ours are.

Maybe I am becoming my parents….

But I’d just pay for my own salad
