You seem a little judgmental. I don't care what someone does with their kids as long as they don't abuse them. Mind your own business and stay out of theirs

I give mine a martini and let them take a nap. Saves my charge on the IPad.

I never understand these threads.

OP delivers a hot take/troll, followed by everybody calling him every name in the book.

I'm sure some of the responding posters enjoy the catharsis, especially if they've had a long day but I never know what the OPs are supposed to be getting out of this.

Unfortunately I don't think he's trolling.

To make such a retarded generalization you obviously scanned the place for kids playing with iPads. A natural observation, you may notice one or two, pay it no mind and continue enjoying the company of your family. You aren’t regular though, us regular folks call your kind creeps.

I have 2 active boys, 7 and 10 and I happen to agree with the OP. When I see kids on iPads nonstop, whether it be at a restaurant or even at church, i feel it’s truly pathetic. I don’t say anything because they aren’t my kids, but for the people on here saying why would anyone care....I care because these are the little asshats I am going to be employeeing, coaching, or friends of my kids who won’t know how to interact with people in the future.

A 7 and 10 year is far different than kids under 4.....

Parents should not give into children all the time when they are young. However, to remain sane, it is not harmful to let the kids indulge in some form of entertainment for the parents to be able to focus on themselves

This is absolutely normal and has been going on since the beginning of humans

Because you’d bitch if I let them sit there and scream, kick, and turn around and hit you in the head while you eat. That or let them watch videos quietly - you fricking choose.

It keeps them quiet, but it's creating a generation of people who can't entertain themselves without an electronic in their grip.

We don’t allow iPhones in restaurants.

But, I understand why some do with the younger ones.

In the 80s and 90s I wasn’t allowed to bring my gameboy out to a restaurant. No electronics at the dinner table. Be a parent and set some boundaries.

Wrong.

They are perfectly capable of entertaining themselves without electronics.

You just don't want them doing it in a restaurant.

So your kids only play on the device 1 hour a week? Not buying that.
