Yulp. Can you imagine what business lunches will be like when this generation grows up?
I grew up in the 90s. I colored on the menu when I was a kid

Miraculously, at 30, I understand not to do that at my business luncheons

Same here. 1 and 3 to boot. No problems in public. As long as I'm shoveling grub into their talk holes, they are mimes.

Do you eat the crayons at business luncheons?

Nope

My son, who is 21 months hasn't figured out the coloring thing yet signed. He would rather eat the crayon

How old are they? The biggest TV junkies I know had parents who didn’t let them watch as kids

1 and 3. Believe me, I'm definitely worried about it. I guess it's a trade-off. I'd rather them be an adult that has a functioning brain and actual talents like writing, music and art, even if they spend most of their leisure time as a couch potato than be a dysfunctional, ADD, talentless retard that does the same.

Welcome to 2018.

I find it quite disturbing how fixated you are on other people’s kids. I hope someone fights you out of principle for paying that much attention to their kids. Who goes to a restaraunts and scans the area to see what kids are doing? Creep

I was at a lunch today with one older fella in his 70’s and a young dude in his late 20’s and 3 other of us in our 40’s-50’s.

All they wanted to talk about was the SOTU and Trump. I can’t fricking stand talking politics with people I barely know for an hour and a half. If we were drinking I could have tolerated it but unfortunately we weren’t. I would have much rather play on my phone or color on the menu.

Yeh, I have one kid only right now. And when we go out to a restaurant, we have to be in the fricking zone at the table

I have no clue what is going on with someone else and their kids

Oh frick off. As if you don't notice what's going on around you in public.

You don't have to "scan the area" to see tables of zombie kids and lazy parents everywhere.

Because no one else thinks it’s cute that your fricking kid is screaming while throwing his utensils around. Thank god for parents that do that.

If your kid is a screaming, crying nightmare, and you bring them to a restaurant, you’re a terrible human being who should be pelted with tomatoes in a public forum. Hire a fricking babysitter or stay home.

Yes you do. You obviously lack the parental skills to focus on and interact with your own kids. Too busy being a creep

Still do crayons with mine in restaurants. On planes they can use the iPad. That’s a pretty miserable experience for kids.

Are you fully engaged with your kids everywhere you go? If so, how loud do you have to talk for them to hear you over the other patrons, and the staff telling folks about the night's specials? Ever think about your conversation with the family being annoying to other patrons there? Not a high horse question. Really curious.

You screen zombies probably have to make a concerted effort to notice your surroundings, so I'll give you that.

Us regular folk just naturally observe our environment.
