I'm looking for a good compact travel air compressor deal. My Jeep tires are just brutal during the winter needing air.

Get a Viair compressor that is suitable for your needs and don’t look back.

I missed the old man wisdom thread or whatever it was called. When buying a weed eater, chainsaw, edger, hedge trimmers, anything with a 2 cycle motor, buy Stihl, Echo, something that flipping starts. Don’t go buy something cheap or you will spend your weekends cussing. The same goes for tools. Buy quality stuff.

Stihl and Echo are excellent don't get me wrong. But more importantly, use not ethanol fuel, run the engine dry between seasons and learn how to clean a carb and even the cheap shite will last awhile. I've got a Ryobi $99 weed eater Ive been wanting to replace with a Stihl for years just because, but it just won't die.

In the last month I've picked up an 8-ft Louisville ladder, 12-ft Werner podium ladder, a DeWalt DCD999 drill kit, a Dewalt DCE400B kit with a free battery, DeWalt DCS571 4.5" circular saw, and a Milwaukee 18V 18-ga brad nailer kit. Looking into the DeWalt ToughSystem 2.0 to replace my 1.0 stack and probably pickup the 60V cordless track saw system too.

Kobalt 80v lawn tool system is legit.

Their 24v LiIon power tools are dependable and there is quite a variety on that platform as well. Several different sanders and saws in addition to the standard drills and drivers.

I have been on a tool binge lately (well most of my adult life) in the last few months I have bought:

Festool TS75 track saw
Festool RO90 sander
Festool EC 150 sander
Festool OF 1400 Router
Festool OF 1010 Router
Festool DF 500 Domino
Mirka Deros Sander
Mafell P1cc jigsaw

As for machines

I picked up a Northfield 12" jointer, a Minimax 20" bandsaw and a Delta/Rockwell 20" bandsaw which needs some refurbishing. I just ordered a VFD to run the jointer.

I bought some NWS and Knipex pliers and will be looking for more deals on them and some Wera screwdrivers in the next month. I don't buy Chinese stuff if at all avoidable which it usually is.

This too. Good advice. Actually great advice. I drive past 10 gas stations to get to the one that has a single lonely more expensive non ethanol gas pump.

I like it, it's in the top of my stack as my go-to before the circular saw now. For quick jobs with some 2x's or 1x's or cutting an access hole in decking it's much easier and faster than plunging with a 7-1/4" saw. Only thing you have to watch is in wider 2x material, if you are cutting a crowned 2x8 or larger crown down it might no quite clear the other side. I picked up the Freud Diablo blade as a replacement after the OEM blade is done, might be a fraction larger so it might not have that issue.

I bought that same table saw and a DeWalt 12" miter saw and stand while living in a 1 bedroom apartment. Used them too...
