This 100% appeals to our modern anxiety ridden helicopter suburban wine moms.
My wife insists we all have it on our phones. I fricking hate it, but I guess it's better than arguing about it all the fricking time.

Your daughter calls you at 11pm. "Dad my car broke down. I'm on a dark street, I'm not sure where I am." Or you can't get in touch with your daughter, no one has heard from her, no one knows where she is. Yeah, 360 can be a life saver.

She sucks at answering her phone, so an example could be that I go to the gym at lunch on Friday, I come back home and she's not here. I can just look at the map and see that she's at Target or something like that.
Why do you need to know where she is? You couldn't just assume she ran on an errands and will be back shortly?

I can't imagine being that up my wife's arse that I have to check an app to see her running errands.

Anxious bitches talking about it in social media made this a think. Find my iPhone (or in my case, watches) has always been fine. Even then, it was mainly to tell the boy it was time to do homework, etc. when he was out prowling the hood.

So life360 can tell you where she is but she can't open up google maps. lmao.

We don’t use that kind of technology. I was born last year of the boomers. Some of this spying for complete safety is a no go in our home.

Does she know how to drop a pin?

So again, are we just ignoring that your phone tracks your every move? Do you have any iPhone? The only difference here is that you're giving very specific people access to your location instead of just the government and big tech.
I guess you're ok with the government knowing where you are, as well as Apple, but you draw the line on your wife knowing.

I also like it for when she and her friends go somewhere by themselves so I can check sporadically that they are where they're supposed to be and not speeding towards the Mexican border or somewhere other than where she's supposed to be.
Surely kids are smart enough to know that if they are going to go somewhere that they aren't supposed to go, they can just leave their phone at their friend's house or something before going do whatever they want

I would say if you have a problem with your spouse knowing where you are at, that may be a problem. Seems like it may even be an unhealthy relationship - but everyone is different. We have it for our child that drives. IDGAF if my spouse knows I'm at my buddy's house, at a restaurant, the casino, or wherever. She probably knew already because we tend to let each other know what is going on.

Yes, I'm ignoring it because it's a dumb argument.

Do you have an employer? What would be your thoughts if your boss came to your cube and said you need to install an app on your device so he knows where you are at all times?

Meh. Some things are worth fighting over, some things are not. This went in the are not column for me.
