You fricking swamp monkeys need to get whoever is in charge of I-20 in Louisiana down there and learn you something.

Giant chunks of concrete break off of the inside lane routinely. They desperately need to overlay.
And some auxiliary lanes between Airline and Sherwood would be a huge help.

This is such a lie. Louisiana has plenty of money. How do you think the politicians live so lavishly?

picked up a rumor at Frank's one morning that the section between Airline and the Amite R. was going to get a smooth asphalt overlay once the patching was completed.
Also getting HOV lanes between Juban and College.

This section of the interstate system is an embarrassment even for Louisiana standards.

If they are really transitioning to asphalt from the concrete as the current layout, then I don’t look forward to that at all.

Going west between O’Neal and Sherwood is like horrible.

The entrance and exit ramps being the same ramp is the most retarded thing I’ve ever seen. It backs up the interstate every day M-F

CORRUPTION…. Same As It Ever Was

About 100 years ago, just before Huey Long became Governor, Louisiana had about 50 miles of paved road in the whole state. Siphoning off or wasting road construction dollars quickly became a favorite source of graft/theft/mismanagement or whatever other phrase you wish to use. This has remained true no matter what party controls the state.
All you can do is get active politically and ask those career politicians the hard questions and then vote them out if you do not like the answer or resultant promised actions. Just remember this, the don't blame the governor as the legislature does have the veto power.

Is it plan still to go down to one lane for constuction between I-10 bridge and split (uncertain exact area) east and west, like in 2024?

Baton Rouge was a wonderful place to live in the 70s, even North BR where I grew up. You must be a young whipersnapper.

That was never a plan. The plan was two lanes. A group of people don't want anything done and spread incorrect information. I saw the plans at a public meeting. It's hard to get correct information in the internet age.

The Airline interchange was designed by the most ignorant arse engineer in the history of the world.
That engineer was probably a WWI (not WWII) veteran using 1950 standards designed for 10% of the traffic we have now.
I'm sure he would think we are the ignorant bastards that haven't changed it in 55 years!

How did places like the Biloxi, MS metro area foresee the need to three-lane their part of the interstate years before it became critical and parts of I-12 are still two lanes? Louisiana always seems to be playing catch from decades ago. You never see shite like it anywhere.

Just wait until you realize that 12 is the better designed of the two interstate options through BR

I-20 and the loop in Shreveport says hold my beer. Those are some fricked roads

Baw you been hitting the bong too long. 1/2 your population doesn’t even work. Takes a lot to take care of 50% of population looking for handout.
