I think the circumstances here are relevant.
If you just killed a guy in cold blood for no reason, you have a moral dilemma.
If you got into a fight with a guy who was trying to break into your car, you hit him, he stumbles, falls and busts his head open….well, stuff happens you know?

Killed his wife, and buried her out back. Set his house on fire a few months later. Killed two of his kids and severely burned another. He did that because the kids suspected.
