re: Let's hear your best "Jody" story

My first duty station was Fort Polk. Of my buddies lived in housing where most of the soldiers living there were part of the 2nd ACR who were in Bosnia at the time. We would hang out and shoot the shite. One day he says to me "watch this" as we're in the front yard. I see one woman cross the street to another house where she embraced another woman and they started kissing. Two of the wives in his cul-de-sac were sleeping with each other while their husbands were away. My unit sent a detachment to Bosnia at the time as well, we had a few guys end up at the barracks within a month or so when they all got back.

I've seen a lot of my fellow soldiers who were married end up divorced in the two and a half years I was at Fort Polk. Not because of infidelity, but because they were at Fort Polk.

However, a long time ago I met a woman twice my age when I was a 22 year old idiot stationed at Ft. Bragg. This was after units were being sent to Afghanistan but before the Iraq war kicked off. She claimed to be divorced and her ex-husband was a piece of shite. She didn't mince words at all, she was pretty direct in letting me know she just wanted sex. She was no supermodel but was pretty good looking for an older woman.

When I look back on it, I'm willing to bet she was full of it and her husband was actually deployed. There was a good chance that I was Jody, that rat bastard we all sang cadence about and universally hated.

Same here. When I was at Bragg, I wanted out so fast I didn't want to stay in even though the contractors there said I would have a guaranteed job and would have kept my clearance. Yeah yeah, hindsight, 20/20 and all that jazz. Ah well, I do pretty well anyways without the TS clearance.

My male friends and family probably wouldn't do it but I have definitely have female friends and family who would no doubt beat her arse down hard enough to put her in the local hospital ICU for a few months especially if they could get away with it.

Back in 2008, when I was still in the Navy, we were heading home from a deployment. We stopped in Hawaii on our way back to San Diego for a port call and to do what's called a "Tiger Cruise". Basically, family members and friends (no significant others, though) of Sailors stationed on board get to ride back with us to port and witness the Navy in action. In order to do that, the command asks some people to take leave and fly back to San Diego to make space for those they are bringing on board.

One of the guys in my division saw this as a perfect opportunity to fly home and surprise his wife and daughter (who weren't expecting him for another week). He got home and found some dude railing his wife. He later on found out that the dude she was railing had been living in the house that he was paying for and driving his car while he was away.

He ended up divorcing her, and ended up getting full custody of his daughter (who, in my opinion, was the biggest loser in all of this).

Women can be so fricking evil

The double Jody. Guy in my neighborhood would go frick this dudes wife when he left for work. The twist was the husband wasn’t going to work. He was going to frick Jody’s wife. They later divorced and swapped wives.
