Hwy 90 between Franklin and Broussard for the road condition alone.

I-49 between Lafayette and Alexandria. It’s the the most boring, most featureless landscape I’ve ever traveled.

49 from Alex to Shreveport is worse.

Surprisingly, UL's campus isn't that bad though.

Most people there aren’t allowed to drive

Typically poor, ghetto people drive the worst and are the most aggressive behind the wheel. Definitely black women in BR are ranked up there.

I think Lafayette is the worst by far. The problems are so glaringly obvious, it's like we are all waiting for someone to die so that the funding will be pushed through, idk.

I think its hwy 190? The one between Opelousas and BR that runs through krotz springs and port barre and all that. That road is horseshite.

Baton Rouge isn’t a quarter of the size of Metro NOLA, but it just sits and you can’t go anywhere. And God forbid there’s an accident on the interstate, because you just decided to live wherever you currently are because you aren’t going anywhere else.

Wut?

EBR Parish has a larger population than Orleans.

Estimated metro areas according to us census

New Orleans 1,270,000
Baton Rouge 834,000

Try 49North from SHV to Texarkana...def takes the cake. There is absolutely nothing, but you sure can speed.

I have no comment on Shreveport

Shreveport has the best highway and interstate infrastructure in the state baw and its going to get better as more pending/proposed projects come to fruition. Maybe second to Nola, but Nola's heavy vehicle presence and awful road condition (exception of interstate) make them about equal.

Most growing suburban areas next to cities in Louisiana.
Reason is they have not built up the roads to handle the middle class flight from the urban areas.

Highway 15 south of Ferriday might be the worst quality road in the state. It's brutal and very fitting for one of the poorest towns in the state.

Highway 15 gets better as you go farther south and becomes one of the coolest drives in Louisiana as you drive up on the Mississippi River levee then drive over all of the old river control structures.

I love going to BR that way occasionally, it really is a pretty drive if not for the road condition. Highway 190 between BR and Opp is like driving on an Offroad course, atleast in the right lane. i49 between Laffy and Shreveport is a decent road its just boring af, and too many places for troopers to hide in the trees north of Alex.

If we live long enough to see I-69 come through, that will help as well
