The Popeyes where I live was built around 2-3 years ago and a few months ago put a sign on their door due to employment issues we will be closing permanently. I have no idea why it seems the worst possible fast food employees end up working at Popeyes.

'My' Popeyes on Mason Rd (not the one up by I-10) is clean and well run. Service is every bit as good as CFA or Canes.

I had UBUR eats deliver a 16 piece family meal with all the good sides yesterday evening. It’s the way to go and worth the extra charge for me.

I don’t remember the service being shitty when Al Copeland ran it. Once it went corporate nationally the service tanked. Bad leadership at the corporate level? Non-competitive fast food wages?

When you always see these videos of fights breaking out at Popeyes along with shitty service, you would think corporate would be sending in assholes to tighten up the joint.

'Bout the same around here...we have a BK on an outparcel in front of a Home Depot...gotta be worth several million dollars. At most they have 3 employees at any given time...usually only one. We have two Popeyes within 10 miles...one of them is slow but mostly due to volume...they do a helluva business. The other one does almost no business and most likely has nothing to sell anyway...always out of everything. It is brand new and is also on a very expensive lot. I doubt it is open 2 years from now...it does NO business.

I think fast food is a dying industry. Labor is too difficult to find, real estate is too expensive and quality of food is horrible across the board...its always been questionable but it is all bad now. I think the entire restaurant industry is in serious trouble...

Food is bad, service is bad and cost is ridiculous. The only thing fast food had going for it ever was it was fast and not overly expensive. You can eat at a sit down restaurant almost any time of the day almost anywhere in the same amount of time it takes to get fast food and it is comparable in price.

One thing I’ve noticed is that neither Popeyes nor Burger King have enough employees working a shift. That’s the main reason why they’re slow.

Chick-fil-A has more than enough employees working. They must have like 25 to 30 people working a shift. Everyone has a specific job. Burger King and Popeyes have like 3 to 5, all doing multiple things at once.

The company that owns the Popeyes name also owns Burger King. Restaurant Brands Inc. has owned Popeyes since 2017. So yes it is possible.

There was a short window of time when the Dutchtown Popeye's had a really good manager. Place was clean, service was excellent. She would actually come to the table and ask how everything was and if we needed anything.

She either got fed up with the shite employees or got promoted.

I’ll never forget in San Marcos, TX, there was a Popeyes next to my apartment that had a unicorn of a manager. He was probably in his 50s with gray hair in a gray mustache and ran that thing like the damn military.

Nicest guy you’ll ever meet and had the best customer service. That thing ran as smooth as any CFA. I think I wrote Popeyes Customer service saying they could learn a thing or two by moving that guy to corporate. I always wondered what ended up happening to him

I hit up Popeyes in Abu Dhabi last month. Didn’t have to pull around for my spicy 3 piece and an Asian girl was working the drive thru. It was a surreal experience.

These are just 2 stone cold facts, not much to discuss on it.

On that note, I do have yesterday's Popeyes leftovers that'll be waiting for me and my kids for dinner tonight. And yes, they forgot to give me my large mashed potatoes.
