I live alone and keep my ac on 76. I hate any cold weather whatsoever. Anything below 72 degrees is freezing.

Your AC guy is an idiot. It takes less energy to go from 80 to 79 when the outside temperature is higher than it does to go from 70 to 69.

Thermostat stays at 68 degrees year round at my residence, and I hate it.
