Not really. Just choose not to waste money on these extreme comfort luxuries. 80 and fans on feels great. Below 75 is freaking cold to me

Depends on quality of your ceiling fan. I've been in countless million dollar homes in which I have been an electrical consultant for the contractor, and many of them take advantage of the ceiling fan.

Do not make the ownership of a ceiling fan into a monetary economic status.

I have one of those Honeywell color touch screen programmable units with Wifi. Don't really use the programmable feature but love the auto circulate and auto changeover feature. Here is a screenshot from the phone app.

Good thing is, if anybody dares to frick with it, I can just go and override it with my app no matter where I am in the house.

My dad sets it at 80 in the summer and like 58 in the winter. When I turn on the heater that reads the room temp on the other side of the house it reads 50

80 is grounds for divorce , and should be enough to get you off in self defense if you kill her.

67 is the correct temperature. Never more than 70.

^^^this. If it is hotter than a witches titty out- 100 or 90 with nasty humidity 72

No one is talking about 1 degree dumbass. Get it up to 80 in the house and then set the thermometer to 70 and see how long it has to run to get down to 70.

No shite sherlock, but the time it takes to drop from 80 to 70 in the evening is miniscule compared to the time it will run all day to keep it at 70.

ceiling fans are not trashy. I am sure the OTs are the light kind with diamond chandalier but they are not trashy.

Trashy.

even a box fan in the window is nice when you live on the beach or on a peninsula/island.

She can make a lot of decisions, but I make the call on the AC during sleeping hours (10pm-7am) end of story.

If she wants to argue over it I will not stop, I will bitch more than she thinks she can, and she knows that so she gives in.

It's plain and simple she can ALWAYS add covers, but you can't take your damn skin off

I will never own a home that doesn't have a ceiling fan in the bedroom. Not only do I need the air blowing on me, I need that hum. Puts me to sleep soundly.

Another reason to leave her for me

I like it 65 when I'm sleeping. And I like it 70-72 when I'm just chilling

75 or higher during the day when not at home. Blast that shite at 67 at night when I go to sleep. Rarely run the heater though. Can't stand a hot house.
